Wheat

There are many wheat patterns, this one is a wheat brioche, yummy... :) It is very simple and just 2 pattern rows to repeat.

Cast-on a multiple of 18 + 1 (symmetry) + 2 (edge)
Row 1: k1, *sl1yo, k1; rep from *, sl1yo, sl1 wyif
Row 2, 6, 10: sl1 wyif, *brp1, sl1yo; rep from *, brp1, sl1 wyif
Row 3, 7, 11: k1, *sl1yo, brp1; rep from *, sl1yo, sl1 wyif
Row 4, 8, 12: sl1 wyib *brk1, sl1yo; rep from *, brk1, sl1 wyib
Row 5: k1, *[sl1yo, brRsl] 2 times, sl1yo, br8inc, [sl1yo, brLsl] 2 times; rep from *, sl1yo, sl1 wyif  
Row 9: k1, *sl1yo, brk1; rep from *, sl1yo, sl1 wyif
Repeat only rows 5 - 12  until you reach the desired length

Abbreviations:
k - knit
brk - brioche knit
brp - brioche purl
sl1yo - slip 1 with yarn over needle
sl1 wyib - slip 1 purlwise with yarn in back
sl1 wyif - slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front
brLsl - brioche left slant decrease
brRsl -
brioche right slant decrease
br8st inc - brioche 8 stitches increase (that in the next row will be knitted as sl1yo, p1, sl1yo, p1, sl1yo, p1, sl1yo, p1, sl1yo)
